Say No to buying puppies this Christmas
This December we are calling on the public to say NO to buying puppies this Christmas, which in turn will be saying NO to puppy trading, farms and trafficking. Everyone has a part to play in the fight against the cruelty of the puppy trade.
Puppy traders prepare well in advance for the Christmas market, ‘force’ breeding their dogs in order to produce puppies for the Christmas buying public. These breeding dogs and
puppies will not be afforded any of the love and compassion we associate with Christmas – there is no season of goodwill for these poor souls.
The internet is a awash with Christmas puppies this year, don’t fall into the online trap – puppies sold via online classifieds are likely to be a product of the puppy trade. This Christmas, keep your shopping cart puppy free.
If you really do want a puppy, wait until January. That’s when all the unwanted Christmas puppies given as gifts or bought on a whim, start being handed in to Rescues.
And don’t forget, there are dogs of every age, every breed and every size waiting patiently throughout the year to adopt a loving human.
