Advice on adopting a dog
Are you ready to adopt a rescue dog?
Taking on a dog is a large responsibility, so we want you to be sure that you fully understand the commitment needed. Above all, we want your adoption to be successful, so it is important that the right dog is placed with the right family and that the family is committed to providing the necessary resources for the upkeep of the dog.
We have created a handy guide, Give Them a Second Chance, which covers everything you need to consider before deciding to give a dog a new home. The guide covers aspects you need to consider before adopting, tips for taking your dog home, what to do if you are experiencing difficulties with your new dog, and most importantly, our terms and conditions of adoption. You can download the guide book in pdf format by clicking the image on this page.
Please make sure you read this guide carefully and in full before you take the next steps, and if you have any questions then please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
Once you are ready to take the next steps, have a look at the dogs that are ready for rehoming.
All dogs must be reserved in person! Once you have seen a dog you like, please come down to visit us at the rehoming centre. We are open 7 days a week from 12pm to 4pm.
If you can’t adopt, you could make an immediate impact and change the life of a dog and help to give them a chance at a new beginning by making a donation of just £5 a month.
