Or Donate Things We Need

Complete Dog Food
Preferably Chappie but a variety of good quality such as Burns, James Wellbeloved, Skinners etc. We want to ensure that our dogs get a high standard of nutrition during their rehabilitation, which some low quality brands do not provide. If in doubt, give us a call and ask before you buy!

Tinned Chunks in Gravy
Any brand, any tin size and any variety is good such as chicken, rabbit, beef. But preferably not solid tinned food.

Tinned Hot Dog Sausages
These are a great treat that our dogs love, but they are also great for administering medication.

Treats
Ideally natural ones such as small roast bones, pigs ears etc.. anything is good but preferably not biscuits with colouring.

Toys
Ideally with a hard finish and not soft fabric. Kongs and other stuffable toys are great! Please no children’s stuffed toys

Old towels, blankets, sheets
These are all great or use as bedding for the dogs. Anything that will provide comfort and warm at night will be gratefully accepted. Please no carpets, rugs or feather quilts.

Clothes
Sorry we can’t take clothes.

Useful but not Useful
Some things may seem useful to us but could potentially create harm to the dogs, please don’t be offended if we refuse as disposal costs are currently costing us £78 a week.

SPONSOR A DOG KENNEL

By sponsoring a Dog Kennel at Merseyside Dogs Home, you are helping vulnerable dogs that arrive at our gates every day with nowhere else to turn, whatever their circumstance or history. You will be providing them with the best level of care, urgent medical treatment and safe shelter for as long as it takes until they find a new loving home.
