Volunteer fundraising ambassador (Liverpool)
We are looking for proactive and outgoing people with a good knowledge of their local community to join our fundraising family as Fundraising Ambassadors, helping to make a difference for Merseyside Dogs home by giving just a small amount of time.
We’re fortunate at Merseyside Home that we have many wonderful supporters who hold fundraising events for us throughout the community, and they often invite us to attend in support of their activity and/or give a talk about our work. Unfortunately the Community Fundraising team is a small one with many demands on our resources, so we cannot attend every event we’re invited to. We are therefore recruiting volunteers who we can train to represent Merseyside Dogs Home at these events and help us to raise vital funds for the 600 dogs and cats that we care for every year
•Represent Merseyside Dogs Home at events organised by us and our supporters; these can include town centre collections, workplace fundraising events, schools, local dog shows, village fetes, and meetings of clubs such as Rotary or Women’s Institutes.
•Accept donations and bank them on behalf of Merseyside Dogs Home, following guidance provided.
•Give talks and presentations about the work of the Home to local groups, clubs and associations. Personalised training will be given and a presentation will be provided for your use.
•Liaise with the Centre Support Officer to ensure accurate records are kept and supporters are thanked.
•Always be a positive and proactive representative of the Home.
•Promote our values and key policy messages
